Default my brushless super hawaii project

ok so i am building a super hawaii brushless boat.i bought my SH at my local hobby shop.it was sitting on the shelf gathering dust for about 5 years and i told myself one day i will buy it.so about a year ago i decided to buy it and i bargand with the people to lower the price so i managed to lower it down to 80$ amazingly.that same day i put it together and ran it and i said wow this thing is slow so the next day i decided to run 2 battery packs(o yea it had the mechanical speed controler)and i gave it full throtel and it was almost twice as fast.i brought it out to the middle of the lake and i heard a loud skiping noise and my boat stoped.i waited almost an hour for my bout to drift back to the bank i took it apart and the gears where totaly stripped and the bushings where destroyed.thats when i decided the brushless project is on.so basicly it was sitting on my shelf for a year untill i finaly decided to start. i will have pics once my camera charges on what i did so far.

    lol man

thats not a good idea at all.
    that boat is plastic.
you need to make sure that what your installing is the right part, need ot make sure it will work with other parts you will use, and you also need to make sure that it is in the right position before you go mounting anything.

    ABS plastic is fragile.
Your not going to want to drill holes every where in it.
and you dont want to make mistakes such as the one you made with the trim tabs.

Hope your reinforcing the transom while your doing this project.
Am also hope'n that your not planning on cutting out that big section
of plastic there in the battery compartment.

that wall provides ALOT of support for many areas IMO.
its there for a reason. i wouldnt go hacking to much of the plastic away if i were you.

and your going to have fun with it im guessing.

I run a lot of abs boats, looks to be hard to reinforce the way it is, I would gut it and remove the first bulkhead from the stern completely, as well as the tray looking area in front of it. you can beef these areas back up later. getting a nice open work area at the bottom of the hull to lay things out would be first Imo.

i recommend you move the motor to the compartment that is in the middle of the boat instead of the rear compartment.

you have the water outlet backwards...

and you dont need a stinger to mount the motor up front.
im running blackjack steerable outdrives for now.
Will be swapping to full Speed Master hardware

dunno when rudders will be here

    I suggest editing that.

we dont put up with stuff like that around here.
what went on between the both of you isnt the forums buisness.
    its between you and him.

    I didnt build the boat.
i bought it the way it is.

i did blow it up though.
thats why it is torn apart.

im heading out for a few parties for the night.
i'll get some pictures up later.

ok, your water outlet isnt backwards.
im not sure what i was thinking.

after studying it and looking closer. it is pointing in the correct direction.

i cant take credit for the way the boat sits at the moment.
But i can take credit for the way it will be sitting in a few months or so.
