I am retired from RTR builds, I still make hulls and hardware. I just need to streamline what I do.

Waiting with great anticipation when one of these will be available. Found and ordered a 1/6 scale Ford blown motor today. When it gets here, will have to see how much work these take to reverse the blower and exhaust for a true drag boat engine.

I will get it done. I have been working on a few orders, one was a full build with paint and graphics ate way too much time. But that is the way it goes. I just did a little on the cowl and sponsons.

Just an FYI-the 1/6 scale engines are still available through various sources, but have been discontinued by the mfr. any one that is planning on building one of these with this engine, you should get your engines ordered. I have 2 Ford blown 427's ordered.

I think most are thinking twins, of some variety, as that is what the full size boats run.

4S to 10S single and twins will work, 1500 watts and up is needed. The castle 2028 and a 400a esc should be fine.
I plan on running 4S twins 1521 motors and 300A ESC. I am going to take my SAW motors and setup out of my SAW boat for the boat.

Sorry It has not been worked on since last fall/Christmas time. I just have a little more to do. People keep me busy. I am just old and slow, with several projects.

I am done doing things half-a$$ I want to make the molds the best I can. for that point everything I do I want to be better than average.

Well I keep running after $$$ and then I work on orders. I never get to it because it has nothing pushing it. If I had 4 or 5 guys that step up to the plate it would be different. All it needs is finish. It is shaped. If you really want to see this mold get finished Plunk down a deposit. Then it will get done. If you guys did this I can take it to a body shop and have it finished in a short amount of time.

What will be the "estimated total price" of a finished hull?

Also, did you decide to go forward with molding all the motor pieces separately?

    Thanks,
    -Chad

With the size and complexity of the hull a fiberglass version will be in the $400. range. Carbon fiber will be a bit more Like $465. and this is all in epoxy. The block will be molded in to the deck hatch . I will be doing molds of the other pieces of the engine.
