    Default Tenschock Electra Big block

    Hi Guys !

Sorry for my little english but i'm french

I open this post to introduce my Electra 95 in progress . My goal is to break the barrier of 100mH with this boat …

    My setup is as follows:

    - 2 X leopard serie 4082 2200kv
    - 2 X Truginy Marine 180A
    - 2 X Turnigy nano-tech 4000mah 6S 45~90C Lipo Pack ;
    - 2 X Drives MHZ Mystic 1114

Here are some pictures of the equipment already received :

I already have a little progress in strengthening the hull and rudder assembly.
Tomorrow I attack the stingers and I will make some nice photos !

    have a good night !

I personally wouldn't use those mounts in the sponsons as you won't be able to get to the outside fixings once they are epoxied in place

Out of curiosity, what is in the little black bottle with the long white lid on it from MHZ?

I know what you mean Matt they are FAR from ideal, but if he sets the front plate to the correct angle with threadlock on the screws before fitting and uses short hex machine screws rather than allen screws one the rear clamp, then he may be able to get a slim open ended spanner down the sides and get them on and off that way, a right PITA, but probably possible (check it out before gluing in).

Will the motors be watercooled? As it is a SAW build maybe not (or just the mounts which aren't very effective, if you were relying on just those I would treat them as if they were not cooled at all), if the motors are not getting jackets he can swap the mounts round so the screws for the rear clamps are accessible, set both front and rear to the correct angle/height, threadlock the screws before gluing in, and easily slide the motor in and out from the back.

I have the same boat with almost same setup (with tp 4050l 2350kv motors).
Its a great hull but you need to reenforce it as good as you can. It's very important this point of your project.

No , I use a dye to color my epoxy based collages .it is not a dye to the resin, but it works very well

nice job man. just wondering how is the hull layup, is it pretty stiff stock or are reinforcements necessary to run with confidence.

Ciao,le lipo 6s 4000mah sono sottodimensionate per i 4082,nel mio jolly con 2 4074 uso le 5000 e son piccole, ora son passato alle 6400.I supporti motore non vanno bene, una volta incollati non li levi piu'.

I love the paint job, that's pretty sweet. The build is straight forward, simply & effective ,needless to say I like it. Every time I see a twinn build it makes me want to twin my mean machine sooner than later. I've already got 1 stinger, a 2030kv motor, a 2350kv motor, a pair of counterotating x447's & a nice pair of 4s & 5s packs. A few more odds & ends and i'll be in business

My Electra hits 125-130kmh with 5s and 4518/3. I haven't try 6s packs yet but I believe 140+ will be easy. Try to play t180s with no cut off. Great job good luck
