Thinking about getting a P1 hull

    Hey Guys,

I was thinking about getting a pb mystic 29 until I saw this hull. I might have to get this instead.

My main concern is how well this hull handles a variety of conditions (glass smooth, light and heavy chop, etc.).

          Ok,

Mine runs nice and scale in glass, and it also runs nice with the jet skis making chop where I run at the lake.
I have been modding this boat some, And running on 3s at 35 mph and 4s at 44 mph.
I still am running the stock motor and esc for testing what I have done so far.
The stock hull and setup had some bad torque roll.
The hull and hatch could use some reinforcing witch I have not done to it yet.
Hears a link to the modding and testing so far and lots of info for you to read and some videos to.

            Thanks Lenny,

I appreciate the info. I love the look of this hull (big fountain boat fan). After seeing it run in some vids I knew I had to get it. Does venom sell the the wood trays to mount the electronics or would I have to make my own?

I would say away from venom with a 100% mark up on rebranded stuff they sell,
Look around for that stuff or make your own out of some thing,
OSE store may have what you want and a lot cheaper than venom.
What do you want to do with the boat ? Sport and fun scale runs , High speed saw runs.
Do you have any lipos yet, If so what are they ?

                Hey Lenny,

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking the same thing. I only bought the hull and hatch. The rest of gear I'll get off of OSE. I plan on using it for sport and fun scale runs, maybe some high speed saw runs. In terms of lipos I don't have any yet (what would you recommend?). Also, what esc would you recommend for 3s and 4s?

                Cheers,

                Mike

I am using the stock 60a seaking and stock outrunner 2000kv,
Outrunner motors sound pretty cool and have a lot of torque but run hotter temps like 200f is not hot for it.
Inrunner motors run cooler and at 140f tops is hot for them.
A better esc for you would be a 120a seaking and 1600kv to 2200kv motor,
Lipos with great power are the Gens ace 30c 5300mah or step down but good turnigy 30c to 40c 5000mah.
