Default Stock RTR SETUP out of the box, Strut Height (bouncing) and Drive Dog Distance Pics

I just wanted to Post Pics of my Setup... Hopefylly these can help someone else.

I broke my Flex Cable by pushing the Cable too far up the Collet once the Prop hit full speed and pushed the boat it was metal on metal (drive dog + Strut). The Cable Broke 3/4 of the way and i lost everything aft that point on the cable. (prop, Drive dog. Prop Nut)

I bought my replacement from Kintec Racing (it Came with a Teflon Tube, Drive Dog, Prop Nut Preinstalled) the one from Kintec is a bit short... Horizon Hobby was nice enough to send me a New Stock Prop. The Cable from Kintec is a Direct Replacement... i would recommend also purchasing their 3/16 3 hole busing and replace the stock bushings in the strut.

Look 1/2 way down the above page ..its the 3 Hole Bushing.

Jan from Kintec Racing was very helpful

Here are Pics of my Drive DOG and Strut Distance. (i was able to minimize the bounce at full speed by doing this and Moving the batteries somewhat mid distance)

Once isntalled the Kintec one Stuck out a bit... i filed it down ... in the pics below the Silver Bushing is the Stock on vs the Brass Colored one is the one from Kintec. However the only problem im having with the kintec bushing is that it tends to slide out a bit... for now my Drive dog / teflon washer is able to keep it from creeping out too far. I am planning on using some Loctite to hold it in place.

STOCK SETUP INFO for my RTR Version of the Boat
    __________________________________________________ ______________________________________________

    For the batteries i use
    2 x SpeedPk Platinum 7.4V5200mAh2S 50C LiPo Case:Deans by Dynamite

Pro Boat Grease / with Grease Gun

Prophet Sport Duo Charger (this charger doesnt come with any charging plugs... make sure you buy Deans to banana Plug Charging leads)
    http://www.horizonhobby.com/products...harger-DYN4108

Pro Boat Hatch Tape (the magnetic Lid wont hold at speed... I have Flipped the boat twice at Speed and the hatch Tape Saved all the Electronics)

You should Pack lots of grease in the Flex Shaft otherwise you will see a lot of water inside the hull.

Buy a Pair of NICE Patches of WIDE Velcro Tape.. the one thats included with the boat is useless

Also buy Some Gorilla Glue Epoxy and put lots of it on the battery Trays... they are barely held in place.

    TOOLS NEEDED:

Be sure to to have a couple of 10mm Open Ended Wrenches (for the Flex shaft Collet) and a 7 MM open end Wrench (for the Strut height Adjustment)
