I bought a used one from a member here who installed the small turn fins and trim tabs,http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...d=ros-spdt-150 http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...prod=ose-80060 the boat runs well with them, can't tell you how it would run w/o them, but I remember earlier version came without one of the items. Current version that is in stock has a fin/tab combo. My feeling is that for a single drive one is better off with them, but I have no knowledge with twin drive set ups. I can tell you that the in-line rudder doesn't work as well as the off set rudder that Lenny here moded himself. We had exchanged quite a bit of notes few months ago. I was going to copy his but got hopelessly distracted with new projects.

What are your plans for the boat, Scale fun running and sport or high speed and saw runs ?
Hear a link on my modding so far and info with videos to,
Read through the info and it may help you.
    https://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...-offset-rudder.
Also member Jesse J did a over hall on one,
    https://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...18-P1-overhaul
And also did some twin setup on some scale mono a long time ago.
Check with him on his testing on them.

    Hello,
My plan is high speed, what do you think about the setup, is one 6S battery enough? I sent a PM to Jesse but no reply. The hull is on the way, so can you tell me if there is holes in the hull? I hate turn fins, if the P1 can run fine without those parts, that' s good, Thanks

If just going straight at high speed with twins is what you want,
You may not need the turn fins.
But the boat torque roll easy if not setup right,
I would think two 5s packs in parallel would be safe for the setup you are thinking.
Not sure about if it will come predrilled, With holes.
Where did you buy the hull and hatch from,? Have a link.

P1 hull + hatch are no longer available, I looked to webshops and it' s always out of stock. May be Venom will stop the P1 KOS. So I bought the P1 at Venom shop but it' s very expensive...

I use 5S 5000mAh batteries with an other boat, do you think I can use those batteries paralel wired in the P1 KOS? Not too heavy?
With 5S motors take 31500 RPM and 37000 RPM with 6S

I will run 5S setup, I think that 32000 RPM is enough for this mono P1 hull. Small metal propellers are available at MHZ for 3/16'' shafts, normal and reverse rotation

I had oportunity to buy a pair of Scorpion HK-3026 1400kV new in the box , this model is discontinued, that's why I bought them for a very very good price.

What do you think with a 6S 6000mAh battery? Around 32000 RPM unload.

Instead of one battery I will use two 3300/4000mAh batteries, something like this Zippy http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=21358 Total capacity = 7400mAh, total constant discharge = 185A

It's useless until you install some hardware on that boat.

Long bracket and T bracket part fit well for the inline mount Rudder blade is shorter.

Those 70mm stingers are very cool. Flex cables are 1/8" and shafts are 4mm, they are glued with Loctite 648. I use 4mm to 3/16" adapters for propellers.
    I like the result
