Ran at the new location last week its a lot better conditions, they even have a small hotel, camping, bar, restaurant.
It's going to be a fun weekend!

I missed this by not having the boat ready by a week. Definitely going to be there this year.

Went to check the site out today as well. My inlaws don't live very far from it.

They are full in the Motel for the 17-19th and have a few campsites available but they are not shaded for 35$ a night. I have one reserved but think I am going to let it go as I am only 20 min away.

As you can see it is a bit of a trek from the campsites to the Restaurant/Bar (Bar is North BTW) so be prepared for that. Also the water now is a lot higher than in the dated google sat map. But it is up now.

not new to rc boats but new to boat racing. im planning on attending this event. nothing set in stone but looks like the cards r going to be in my favor. couple questions. how long heats, mains? is it going to be oval or road course style? if oval which direction? will be running pb mystic 29. any setup tips would be very helpful. thanks Greg

This saw event they are looking for top speed. You go out solo and make 2 passes and just try and go as fast as you can, it is a straight course.

I believe sat will be for top gun in your class and sun will be for overall top gun.

how many entries did u have last year and r u expecting the same turnout this year?
will be coming from OK and dont want to make the drive for just a couple boats. thanks

From the Vid I counted at least ten FE boats and just as many gas/nitro. I'd say with the new calm water venue there will be more being it was a weekday last year. How long are you staying? Just the weekend or the week too also watch the big boats?

It's pretty neat and I've been going since 2004.

They'll have turbine powered and all kinds of stuff.

I'm not really on the "staff" but I contacted Bill and he said he had plenty of volunteers if that means anything too you .

well i allready took vacation so i will be there either way. had put in for my vacation before i realized the big boats were next weekend. that kinda bummed me out but whatcha gonna do.
planning on coming up friday morning to check out the venue, mabey get in a couple packs before the meet greet.
going to be staying with family in springfield which is the only reason im going to be able to make it. been awhile since ive been in big MO so either way im pretty pumped about coming up.

Had a great time everyone. Met a lot of great people and seen some really amazing boats. Weather conditions was great and the water was superb when the fishing boats stayed out of the cove.

That's why I checked it out before hand. I was very doubtful it wasn't near water. Lake of the Ozarks is notorious for having misplaced address tags.

Just noticed there is nothing on this site about the 4th annual mini shoot out .held same place as last year, Kelley's landing.i believe there is something on Keith's site, also on the gas side on Jim's rc boat do hope people see it and go
