Were do people live?

I got a question, when you register for an account here on OSE, you need to fill in were you live. And thats a 2 letter abbr of the State you live in.

I know The Netherlands were I live is smaller then any state in the USA, but could it be possible to get this changed into a more open field so you can fill in your state completely (so people from outside the States now were someone comes from) and for me example to set The Netherlands so people can see were I come from (and are able to understand why my English is so bad ;-)
