Question How should I fix this Flex Shaft?

Had my Fastech out last time and it quit out on the water, motor revved but no movement.

After getting it in I found the flex shaft was the culprit

Here is what is should look like all one solid piece

here is how it is, the end piece just turns freely and can be pulled off as shown in the picture.

How do I re-attach it, or do I need to get a replacement?

    Thanks

if it was soldered in you can heat with torch and resolder.

Well I don't have a torch, but will have a new soldering iron (100w) arriving in the next couple days so I will see if I can do something with that.

This just happened to me about 30 min ago. So it's just soldered?

Ya I fixed mine by just re-soldering it on..unfortunately when putting it back in the motor was a little mis aligned and I forced it too hard and wrecked the other end..go figure

So a new drive shaft I will need..just can't get one now as I am not spending any more money on my boats since we just found out we have a baby on the way so priorities have changed... So my fastech is now dry docked for a while lol

Is that a 4mm flex with the square drive on the end? and if so how long is it I may have one.

I use green loctite, bearing retainer, and it works great on the stub shaft, never lost a prop yet,

I'm not sure what size it is, it's the stock shaft for a proboat formula fastech. Maybe someone can chime in that knows.
