Default A little departure from Boats - Pinewood Derby!

I took the day off yesterday to get some projects done around the house... brakes on the Tahoe... Etc...

Got done a bit early so I worked on finishing up my son's Pinewood Derby car... He and I shaped it together... and he helped do the main paint... I spend a few hours today finishing it up... Turned out pretty cool! The clearcoat ran some of the accents, but overall it turned out well... Tommy is totally pumped!

Should be fast too... I did some work to the wheels and axles that make them GLIDE...

    Back to boats today!!

Darin.. great job looks cool and original. you should get some awards! I have some huge secrets that will let you, I mean your son, win for sure. I cant post them out in public cause I will someday use them for my son but would be willing to share them with you. send me pm and I'll throw some stuff at ya. My father built my cars back in the day along with the engineers at whirlpool and won pack, and regional every year I was in it. I think it was 4 years. still have my trophys and cars too. We even had to have one car x-rayed cause they thought we used solid axles instead of what came with the kit. anyway lemme know but what you have done had to take some work!

I'll have to find the one's me and my dad built. We did the Batman car and a replica of a playschool R/c car I had as a kid. I'll see if I can find them and snap some pics.
