I think your best bet will be getting the kit that I posted by octura. It was $63 or so and comes with a flex cable,Fine's does not.The only thing you would need is a drive dog and prop. There are some options there as well, IE:Prop shaft size.

For props, i have some from offshore, they are plastic props. They are cheap but all a different color and different pitch. I cant look them up on my phone but if you guys can that would be cool and let me know what size drive dog i need etc. I have the props at my grandpas garage where i was working on this boat. So i found a strut and/or a stinger for about 10 bucks. So im at 18 bucks? Why is the kit a better bet, sorry im a teenage guy that doesnt have much money.. hah

You're gonna need this http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...od=oct-oc64pkg and a stuffing tube(brass tube) to go along with that e-bay setup. So the flex is another $23

Go with a strut like this....................cheap and easy. You will need a flexshaft as well..............dont know the size but I think its 3/16.......either that or 4mm.

Here's where i suggest the drive hole to go..........and where the rudder should be

I got to learn how to do that with a pic M-a-W.

I doubt that you'll find any boat stuff except a RTR boat at the LHS.That is the way it is around here anyway. You could check.

Now you see why that one complete kit is worth it,the SV strut is $22,and still needs stuff, the cable is $23 and you still need a rudder. The kit will for sure all fit together eliminating further issues.Only need a drive dog, best as I can see.

The only thing with that setup is a serious lack of info. They don't say if it is for a 4mm shaft or 3/16.

I did some research and best that I can tell is it is 4mm.My concern was the bushings but it looks as though they would come installed. You can get a 4mm shaft that is stepped down to fit 1/8 props which is probably all you will need. Also probably what you have.

You will need a flex cable and prop shaft. Not 1/8 rod
    Like this http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...?prod=ose-1085

Sounds good. What kind of tube should i get? I will check at my hobby store and see if they have flex tubing because they have a boat section.

Sorry Mason,I'm doing a build/paint job for someone on the side. You should just get your parts and then go from there. You could for now prep the hull.Sand all the old crap off, wetsanding works best for this.Just get it looking smooth for primer.

You could ask the dude with the TFL strudder if it is for a 4mm shaft and if it has bushings. If it is as I figure then you'll need a 7/32 brass tube.Is that a bidding thing or just a buy thing on e-bay?

No. I dont go to the pool much, i have the nose of the boat filled with foam tho. What else could i do... Also, can i run a water cooling from the rudder, to the motor, out the motor, to the esc, out the esc, and out the boat?

That is the idea.Only in this order,From rudder to ESC,out ESC to motor, out motor ,out boat.If the nose has foam in it that should do it.
