How many hours do you painters spend on one of those larger hulls? Design wise, do you sit down and plan it out or does the ideas come together as you prep? All of them so far are very creative. I just wish my wallet could afford you services.

I usually just draw out something on a large piece of paper and then use some color pencils to figure out how I want the colors to go and then figure out the pinstripe colors while painting. It can take some time to figure it all out in the layers process, to get the look that you want. but the intitial sketch isnt very long to do. Just depends. and prepping the hulls is a great time to think about what you are going to do. since sanding is pretty much mindless work. lol. And the cost may surprise you. it always depends on the theme and colors to be used and the level of detail that you want to go. There is a paintjob for almost everyones budget I think. but thats just my opinion.

It's tough to get an entire boat shiny using spray can clearcoat. You have to get the whole boat wet with clear at once and the rattle can stuff dries too fast to make it easy to pull off. Best bet is the Rustoleum Clearcoat, but like I said, it's gonna be a challenge for sure.
