I think its two........not sure.................one would think that going to the Proboat site and finding the exact motor would allow you to find specs on it.................NOT. That irritates the piss outta me the way they dont ever give specs. Heck Hobbyking gives lengths, weights, poles blah blah blah................How can a Hobby grade company not offer this info????????

Here's the actual Proboat site and the motor(which is listed as the Stiletto motor under the Impulse parts?) with all the great specs they offer and the only "numbers" they give dont even correlate to any of the numbers that motors are referred to by, like a 3650, 3660, 3674.....................some noob might think its 36 x 30 and NOT buy it due to its short length...................whatever.........

Thanks. If you don't mind me asking how did you come up with the number 6? I tried two pole and it logged the rpm way too high. I'm guessing you may be right.

I have an impulse and if i am not mistaken I thought it was a 1900kv, not sure now because I burned it up, cooling line came off on a 5s run, but I thought it was a 4 pole, I'll need to find my paper work on it.

OK, another Proboat owner..................... who thinks its 4 pole..............

I was pokin around on the site again and I just need to close that browser...................i looked at the 26" Brushless shockwave, and the 2900kv motor size is listed as 55.2mm x 44mm................??????????????? So is that 55.2mm diameter by 44mm long..........or vice versa...........either way its bigger than the motor in the Impulse i guess which is 3630........??............or 36 x 50...................??

Yea, it's prob not listed because most consumers wouldn't care to know what the amount of poles is in the motor. It is Ready to run boat. I'm going to try to log it with 6 today. Just didn't want to waste a run logging the wrong rpms.

Well I did a run on with settings for 6 pole. Rpm maxed out around 24k @ 36 mph with a x642 prop. This is on 4s 5000 mah packs with stock 1800 kv motor and 120 sea king. Amps were sitting below 60 and motor temp was a consistent 90, outside temps in the low 70s. If I wanted more rpms without increasing pack voltage do I go with a smaller prop?

You could try a X442 or a M445 or a X640.The 442 should buzz it up a bit as there is less pitch. For that matter so does the M445.

Its a 6pole 1800kv motor. Its built similar to the PB1500kv motor. Sadly PB motors are difficult to open to visually verify the number of poles.

What do you look for inside to see how many poles motors are. Thanks.
