    Default JAE21 Fe 58mph

I think I have her dialed in now. I was running 55mph for the first few packs and then hit a couple 58's. Not bad for a stock UL-1 setup. Running a ABC H-7 s/b and Gens Ace 5300 30c 4s packs. Wish I had brought the video camera

Nice looking rigger. Seems to me a less wide and more narrow sponson width would be faster.

Great Job. The JAE/UL1 combo difinately gives you the best bang for the buck.

Re narrower o/a sponson width being faster, this very subject has been disscused before with the JAE design team & they say it makes no difference to speeds having the sponson width wider. But messes the handling up of the hull in other areas if you make them to narrow. Martin.

I agree, I couldn't see this handling any better than it does now. It's on rails and can be driven wide open the whole run without a flinch. I have yet to see a turn or chop this thing couldn't handle. Props to the JAE team this thing is a blast to run. I'm hoping next time I can knock down some 60mph passes but we'll see.

You may see higher speed with higher c rating battery, i know on my small hydros & monos going from 25c to 45c made a noticable diff to excelleration & top end. I then went to 60c & also saw further increases.

True, I just got a hell of a deal on a few of these and havn't bought any to really experiment with. This is my first FE so I didn't want to get in too deep until I learned more.

There are other props which can give higher speeds. An ABC1816 gave over 61 mph on a club member's sport hydro running a UL-1 motor, yet allowed one-mile heats without issues. Too, if you can add a bit of timing (15*) that may add a couple mph. But both changes may reduce your run time and increase temps.

I take it that was a two blader................correct? If so cupped or stock?
I do not think I have broke the double nickels but seems more top end at 11* on a stocker H-7.

Two-blade stock, just balanced and sharpened.
