    Default 1,200kv motor question

So after consulting the great "chart" of motors

I need a 1,200kv motor so I can run my batts at 6s and 8s.
Here are the motors I found that 'mostly' fit the bill.

The Leopard 4082 1,250kv (which I know will do the job but maybe just too long for my boats)

The KB45 10XL 1,200 (its @ hobbyking, but I know nothing about it) Is this a good motor?? anyone have one of these??
    Link: http://http://www.hobbyking.com/hobb..._Inrunner.html

If the KB45 is crap, and the 4082 is too long (for my MC or Apparition {single) I was thinking of just a Keda 4074.

But need to know If the KB45 is a good motor first, and whats it comparale too in power??

    Thanks for the help.

Here is another really good option. I ordered a couple of these for my new build based on the great success I had running a similar higher KV Tacon all this summer. Apparently they are rebadged Leopard motors at less than 1/2 price. This unit is a 2400 watt capable of 44 volts.http://www.hobbypartz.com/96m811-3674--1300kv.html

I'd go with the Keda if they make one in that range...............

    +1 on the keda
the only issue is, even Steven (lol it rhymes!) posted in another thread that they are hit or miss, if they work on the first spin up, they'll be a great motor, if they blow on the first spin up then you have issues.
if you don't mind taking the risk and dealing with warranty (no offence OSE just LOBW) then go with the keda, they do (without experience) have good power vs. price ratio.

I saw that guy, but I want a 1,200kv (give or take 50kv) cause the chart says then I can run 6s-7s or 8s. The batts I own are two Gensace 2s 5300mah and two Gensace 4s 5300mah. So I want to mix and match them in 'series' with the motor, so I need as close to 1,200kv as possible. (if i am understanding the chart correctly)

I have a New Apparition hull that I might build or a my MC, I just want something I can run 6s-8s. I already have the batts for it, So I was thinking why not get the components to handle it.

I wouldnt hesitate to run this in it................3665, four pole, i have one and its a strong motor.........!!! This motor is bigger than the MC stock motor 36x50? and can run on the higher voltages you want......plus fitting in shouldnt be an issue!

I might do that one, right now in the MC i have a 4075 2150kv w/200a ESC, but can only run 4s. So i have the Gensace 4s packs that sit useless (two of them) because I cant mix and match my 2s packs and my 4s packs (that motor wont hanled it, per the chart), So either I swap out the motor in the MC so I can do this or just build the Apparition the way I want it. So I want to find the biggest 1,200kv motor to start with. Out of all the motors listed on this thread so far what would you recommend for the batts I have??

thanks for the help by the way
