Default New motor fitted. Turnigy xk-3665 2100kv

Fitted one of these with the leopard jacket http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...FInrunner.html
What a difference it makes, much faster than stock. These motors are awesome i run the 4074 2000kv version in my genesis. the only problem is it doesn't fit under the outboard cover but I have an idea to make it fit under. Will post some pics and vid later

Great! I can't wait to see the motor mounted. How much taller is it than the factory motor? I have a UL1 motor in mine and it darn near rubs the cover.... What esc are you using? I found that the hk120a fits great! It's a little smaller than the proboat one.

That's the one. It's about 6mm to high with the wires coming out the top. I've cut the top off my outboard cover and I've ordered a new on to fit over it like a sleeve then I'm going to fill it rub it down and paint it so it looks like one. I'm using the turnigy 120a esc and an x642 prop. I was suprised at how much faster it is. This hull scares the crap out of me though as I think it's gonna flip at any second! When testing it yesterday it took a dunk at full throttle and was completely submerged for a good second or 2. Good job it floats well.

I bought two of them, the other one is a 3674 and its in another Emaxx on 6s and its wild too............

These may catch on in boats, the 3665 would be a great motor in 28-33" hulls and would be an upgrade for an SV27. The 3674 1400kv is perfect for 6s too. If anyone is wondering, these are 4 pole motors.

I'm well chuffed with the performance of these motors and they run cool too. I think they are clones of the leopards and for the price I would buy one of these over a leopard any day. Plus the leopard water jackets fit them perfectly.

Thanks for the pics! Using another cover as a sleeve is a great idea.

What 2030kv do you have in your stiletto? Does the engine cover fit? Thanks

I have a UL1 motor in it. The cover fits but it has been trimmed in the front to give the wires and cooling hose more room. From the rear and the side it looks stock. It is very tight fit though.

Here is what it looks like with the new outboard cover slid over the one that I cut in the previous pics posted. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1327075236.325304.jpg
I think it looks ok. I'm going to fill it rub it down and spray it so everything looks flush.

I think it makes it look so much neater and on the water it will look the same as stock. The map is from when I use tapatalk app on my phone. I'm a little way from London. Closer to Birmingham. I'm hoping to get some video of it the weekend if the UK weather holds up!
