An old Kyosho Hurricane (I think) converted over to brushless power

Nice vids Bill as always. Wish I could have made it.
Wish you could have made it too Dave. You didn't miss a whole lot though. I think there was only like 6 or 7 of us there. We had some real doubts about running but the wind did finally lay down.
It made a long day for me as I went down to SRQ Squadron after leaving the lake and was there until around 3:30 taking advantage of the west wind after it shifted. Six boat videos and five plane videos took a while to get uploaded last night.
My god, watching those P mono and LSO races, we really need to have a drivers meeting about lanes, and what it means to KEEP IN YOUR LANE. The first two turns on both races are complete cluster beeps..... This is happening all too often and needs to stop. Many of you who will remain un named at this point have come to me with complaints about driver etiquette. I think its time we start doing something about it... This WILL be discussed at our next meet.
Well I know I over steered to miss the pin going into one in the start of the LSO race and got Rich out of shape. So that was my bad...
It was pretty chilly early this morning but by the time I got to Ackerman it wasn't too bad. A bit of an east southeast breeze but runnable.
1st video today, a round of LSO with a last man standing win for Larry
http://youtu.be/cYCxc5OJylQ
To finish out the day, Richard, Larry and Brian with a short round of LSH. Right around here is where I left to come home and find some lunch.

I finally managed to get back to Ackerman for some boating action today. This is Ray running his M&M's Avenger Q boat.

Ray's new ML Boatworks P Sport Hydro running on some very old packs that couldn't last 6 laps without hitting LV cutoff.

Brian running his LSH class Phil Thomas hydro solo after Richard snapped a flex shaft in his.

Finishing out the day, Scott knocked the dust off his old HPR twin and played at some 5s saw passes with it.

Ray
Your ML Boatworks P Sport Hydro looks good;
Your two lap time was 29 sec. = 87 sec. for 6 lap
What motor and prop were you running??

I shot a few photos and vids today. 1st photo is the park entrance followed by a couple of shots across the lake from the little dock that we can use for a drivers stand.
And here's the days 1st video.
Christening day run at the club's new lake in Tom Bennett Park. Rich was in such a hurry to be the 1st one in the water that he forgot to steer going out of the launching area

A word of warning. Don't let the gator take any of your body parts. There's a stiff fine for feeding them.
Next up A short run for Dave's SAW rigger since a cooling line came off.
https://youtu.be/tSH82qqFX68
Last couple of photos are of Brian's LSH boat. I'll mention that right after it's "leap of faith" it wound up upside down.
This video started off as some solo footage of Ray's new P boat then Brian & Richard joined in.
I don't know if it's just an optical illusion or if the cars on the interstate were just running slow. I find a 70 mph P mono a little hard to believe. Especially running reduced throttle on the back straight due to the chop and headwind.

A little longer run on Dave's rigger. Moving pretty good for half throttle.

Finishing out the day Brian's new LSO boat to be. An Aeromarine Sprintcat 29. I think we all agreed it needs the CG shifted forward a bit.
