No changes to settings of the 1st run but tried a little more pitch with less diameter. No thermal this time but lost about 12 mph.

Dave with his Titan and Chris with his Pursuit in a little P mono run. It didn't last very long though.

That all for today
Yup... "upside down" is my middle name.
Only a few vids today since I forgot to charge the camera last night.
1st up is my Avenger trying a timing change and a detongued and back cut X452. Didn't quite make it the full 6 laps but this time it wasn't from a thermal cutoff. :p
http://youtu.be/LVMdQZejGtE
Next up Scott's Cheetah and my Cheetah bashing around the course. I think I must have forgotten how to drive.
http://youtu.be/1E5rPhHDEMY
Finally the big dogs come out to play. Scott's & my S-T monos. Both Promise Hobby 47" hulls, both powered by Castle 2028's running 9s 2p. This is where the camera ran out of battery.

That hole on the back stretch is something else.....
Chris, I tried calling you. If you see this tonight, give me a shout
hey bill ...ya know i still havent run my 47 yet? what prop did you finally settle on? how much triming did u have to do to yours? i have a couple of 5 cells now but really know nothing about the computer set up on the castle 200hv... ill prob wait and bring it down some time and see if u can help me set it up some....talk later ron
MY RETIREMENT PLAN?????.....POWERBALL
74 vintage kirby clasic hydro, pursuit mono, mg, 47'' mono, popeye hydro...
Ron, in answer to your call, I think its just a combination of the hull, weight and speed its carrying. I kept catching cross wakes on the back stretch and it would go nuts and outta control. Then I bent some hardware at some point so I couldn't control it any longer at speed. Its the second time Ive run it, the first time it ran almost flawless.. I think I had my cog a tad further forward but I dunno.....
i have a 457/3 right now and planed to run on 10s..not sure how great these cheep 5s bats are but what the heck

Mine broke the 70 mark on 10s 2p with the 457/3. I didn't run but a few laps with it that way though. Was scared I'd cook something.
Been a while but a few of us showed up to play today.
1st up Chris, Rich and Scott running the P twins
http://youtu.be/OgI2GpPgac4
Ray's 1527 powered Avenger (Team Believer) cat on a solo run.
http://youtu.be/snvcGGq3JuU
Scott's HPR twin on a leisurely 4s cruise
http://youtu.be/rfaOLxMj48w
Jason, Rich and Scott in a round of LSO
http://youtu.be/oxrB2YZzZqk
My 2215 powered Avenger cat. Getting more than a little aggravated with the ESC in this one. It made 8 laps just fine with a X450 prop. Bumped it to a detongued X452 and it thermaled.
http://youtu.be/J0jukCYDtUw
Finishing out the day with some 6s SAW runs on Scott's HPR

Got it Ron thanks. Will send tomorrow.
Not really much of a turnout at Ackerman today. But it was supposed to be stormy & windy as the day went on, too. (And, it was looking pretty nasty by the time we left around 11:30.)
1st up is video of Scott testing some ABC 3 blade props on his HPR twin. Actually several short runs put together as he was moving batteries to change cg and adjusting stingers trying to get the porpoise out of it.
http://youtu.be/WFZUaP0xF2s
Next up Dave and his Titan P mono. Might have got just a touch too close on marker 2 Dave.
http://youtu.be/yNCrYURyAc4
This one almost didn't run at all today. I got almost to the lake and realized I forgot to put the transmitter for it in my box. (dumb) Luckily I had a spare Rx for my Tactic radios in my pit box so bound it to one of the transmitters I did bring. My Falcon cat. Been a while since this one has been in the water and my driving shows it. It's still a blast to drive though. Thanks Dave, for running the camera.

Rich's Spartan. Testing with a new Turnigy 180 ESC on board. Couple of short runs combined with a prop change along the way.
http://youtu.be/PgZCpbDfZyE
Jeremy showed up today with his 1/16 E-Revo car so shot a little video of it. It's a bit "twitchy" but will do some nice wheelies when it gets traction.
http://youtu.be/m2BAsEhUajg
Finishing out the day with another run of Dave's Titan.
http://youtu.be/8mnSKMKaqfg
Next up Dave and his Titan P mono. Might have got just a touch too close on marker 2 Dave.
Yes Bill it seems those markers jump out at me when I go by..lol. Thanks for putting it back.
I'm gonna get out there check things out and join the club someday! I tried the last two times and stuff keeps coming up!
thanks for the vids Bill.
Doing some research thru a top notch HPR builder on the other side of the pond, I got some helpful pointers on my set up. So I cant wait to make the necessary adjustments and try again. I was also pointed in the direction of another set of props that will be great for sport running and out perform the 447s. Only upsetting piece of the puzzle is I wont be in town for the next TnT
Don't feel bad Scott. I won't be here for the 2nd Sunday run in October either. Going to the Wattfest fly-in for the 12-13th.
It's been a while but we managed to run a little today. A typical cooler weather Sunday at Ackerman.
I think 6 boats started, only 2 finished in this LSO heat
http://youtu.be/Lv-Ox9qWJco
Next up Hugh's Pay n Pak 1/8 scaler. Been so long since he ran it that it was being cantankerous.
http://youtu.be/Fxn_WP8X_oA
Dave brought along one of the Redcat Racing cars he's started selling so shot a little video of it. This one was pretty fast on the pavement.
http://youtu.be/KZ63gh0yg_0
A little solo running of Ray's "candy coated shell" Avenger. (I like that graphics scheme.) He, Hugh, and I ran a couple of heats of Q as well but no video of that.
http://youtu.be/Z0BIgP1hEao
Last one today. Scott running his HPR through some 6s saw passes with X450/3 props.
I think the peak speed reading was around 76 or 77 mph by the GPS.
http://youtu.be/OZl3BHFWO9k
Actually I lied. Here's my last one for today. It was shot about a month ago, and not even a boat. But, it's one of those flights where I was really happy with the landing.

Thanks for the vids Bill, great as usual -
