Sounds perfect to me. You're not getting much cavitation at all.

prop nut, when you moved the fins to the top hole,i take it you drilled a new hole for the lower screw, and then covered up the old old?i will have more questions about all this once i tear into it.but figured i would start with the fins

Dirty, yes you will need to fill the old holes and drill two new ones. I used epoxy to fill the old holes. Please read through the first few posts in this tread for more info on all the mods done to the boat.

What kind of speeds should you expect out of the stock setup, boat was bouncing on top of the small waves, but it took a while to get on plane. I hit around 26.9 mph with 7 cell 4200 traxxas and a 3 blade prop, I am going to try the same setup witht the stock prop, I have lipos but one has a bad cell, I think.

went back out, still not really smooth, a lot of jumping around, ran the stock prop. With stock prop it got on to plan a lot easier. The first pack I ran was a new set of seven cell. Got 27 mph even, then I put the lipos in 30.7 mph.

Detongue is removing the area close to the hub that kinda swings forward and then back to the tip. Easiest way to explain it, look at a M445 and an X445. The "M" series props come detongued from the factory. Cupping is very slightly bending the tips back and or the traling edge of the blade. That kinda describes it, its a bit more involved and easy to mess up if your not careful.

Had my boat out today, it went well until I took it to the other side of the pond and ran out of room, the front has a small crack along the seam, but I did not spilt it open, I'm sure it will get a few more war wounds before summers done.

Is it possible for the bec to burn up in the speed control? I used my boat a few weeks ago and it worked fine, I go to use it today and nothing, no power to the speed control. the wire is hooked up. I try it tonight and as soon as I put a rx back to the reciver the boat works fine.

I guess I just use a battery pack, not worth taking it all apart.

Chris Hoffman aka dasboata can make one for you. Send him a PM and tell him Tom Jerzak sent you. He does great work!
