So what did you end up doing bud ?I just did surgery on my cheetah hull and am dying to test it.
I've been following the 6s cheetah thread and I agree with you about the angle on the last step acting like a trim tab forcing the nose down. I would imagine it creates a bit of drag too.
I'm anxious to see what you come up with.
Good then post that. because apperentyl physics is not an FE boater thing.
Re Dec 12 news sent to everyone via email. My own personal thought on the proof of NAMBA would be to require it on site for checking ubtil such time as it is recorded as current.
Or do it like most clubs on race day. If you don't have your card, you have to pay a $10.00 fee to run. If you plan on running more than 4 times a year with us, it's pretty easy math to see which would suit the wallet better.
PS, I'll do my best to be there by 8. Already cherged the rescue boat battery so it's good to go. You bringing noodles or do we ned to get some? (might be a little tough to find in mid Dec)

Well put Bill. thank you. I think thats a great idea and we will bring it to discussion Sunday with other things I noted somewhere....
I will pick up noodles. Hopefully I can find them during this time of year. If not, Ive got some blue ones in the garage... not the best of color but should fade to white in a few weeks lol. Ive also got some bright orange reflective duct tape I thought we may try on the tops of the noodles for added visibility... maybe? Not sure how it will last fade wise... we will see i guess.
Oh and for those who follow this, Lawson has a UL-1 for sale if anyone is interested. See him Sunday to inquire or PM me and Ill get you in touch with him
Hey Ron,
Sorry I have not got to your custom size jacket yet. Will you be at the pond Sunday? If so I will do my best to get it made tomorrow.
Dave
I mailed mine last week and got it today.

MY RETIREMENT PLAN?????.....POWERBALL
74 vintage kirby clasic hydro, pursuit mono, mg, 47'' mono, popeye hydro...
It's really foggy down here. Gonna wait till it clears up a little.
Pretty much the same up here Ray but we don't have as far to go. On the good side it's going to be another low wind day once it lifts.
I' getting ready to head out the door now.
Great day today guys. As upsetting as the P-mono esc letting go was, the way my Cheetah ran, once I got past the LVC issue, I just couldnt come home upset.
That Cheetah was movin and handling well
And simple things on your end like a stuck rudder because of a set screw... I like easy problems.
So Bill and I were talking, hes not sure if he can make it, so its more relying on Chris's schedule.... Anyone want to run this Sunday since we wont be running on the 23rd?
I'm still not certain about the weekend Scott, but thoght of something else after getting off the phone with you. In the interst of making it "official", it might be a good idea to publish the minutes of our club meeting/discussion from Sunday in here. Re current Namba card required on site after the 1st of the year to run or pay the $10.00 fee. That way nobody can say they didn't know.
Mine is in the mail
Yeah I planned on doing that via email since a lot of members aren't on here. Just haven't got to it yet.
I vote we take club money and have a X- mas party at beefs or hooters....
Yep... We could run some boats and go here and see hooters girls in santas caps... even if I have to bring them. (the hats) !!!
HOOTERS 6507 South Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL, off the Clark Rd exit
Hmmmm... I can imagine some nice club photos LOL
Just head from Gary on our trolling motor. He walked in this morning and said "fishing line". I was like "huh?"
Then he explained that's what took out the seal and let it start getting water and assorted other crud build up inside it. He brought the lower in this morning (to use the parts washer to clean it) and it looks pretty nasty inside. The bearings are pretty crunchy and most likely what was making the noise last time we used it. He said the kit contains everything needed to fix it so with a little luck it may be ready to go by the weekend.
I have he notor backin my possession now. Gary said it runs nice & quiet (I haven't thried it yet).
I'll "probably" show up Sunday but going to bring it and the battery with me to work tomorrow for just in case. (I charged the battery Monday night so it's good to go) If I do make it I'll probably be a little later than usual as the aviation site is showing a nice little breeze out of the ESE early in the morning and I'd like to visit Rothenbach before coming to Ackerman.
Scott, if you're out and about tomorrow stop by. Or, if you can't make it, I can drop them off at your house after I get off.
I may be able to get by tomorrow? If not, if you can swing over on your way home thatd be great.
