    Default Atlanta tornado

This photograph was taken by a gentleman trying to capture lightning. The storm came through approx. 9pm., this is a pretty incredible shot.

Damage was estimated at 250 million dollars, 50 injured, and remarkably, only 1 death.

Why havent I herd this on the news?? God the media blows. I'm so sick of only getting their BS agenda. Why can't an F-5 take out every major news media building in this country?

Prior to this storm there was one west of here in Polk county. A tornado from that storm LEVELED this elderly couples farm. The slab of their house looked like it had just been poured. The couple that owed the house were under the stairwell. Their bodies were found over 100' from where their house stood. The man survived but suffered a broken pelvis and some other injuries.
This is a trip, a picture of one of their grand children was found one hundred miles away in Hall Co. in good condition with the exception of a small hole in it. INCREDIBLE!!

hmm. There was a hole in the grandchild??? anyway. the beauty of these storms is amazing. Just wish no one has to see them up close.

i love watching tornado's or following one at a safe distance.

but the thought of the damage they can cause just isnt so nice.

they are entertaining and amazing to watch though.

ma' and i were chased by one, not on purpose either.
we came up on a storm on the way home from the lake house we own.
    i was driving.
i was 16 at the time
we were in my mom gas saving 4cyl 05 Cavalier
the car was topped out on the interstate and the twister was gaining on us
    adrenaline was pumping
cars were passing us almost like we were sitting still
everyone was getting out of there
little cavalier had no balls.. lol

no underpasses near, and the ditches were VERY shallow

I totally agree with you SJ. If I was president, I would pass an act destroying major news networks' free speech that declares they must talk about things that actually matter.

    Default Texas Twister

The Wichita Falls Texas tornado was one half mile wide and stayed on the ground for an hour and traveled 47 miles as it wiped out one fifth of this 100,000 population city and damaged even more areas before dissipating in Oklahoma. It is rated an F4, with winds from 207-260 mph.

April 1979, 54 people lost their lives. Mostly ones that were in vehicles trying to get away from it. Luckily for me, it happened during spring break and I was not at the university.
