    Hello dana,

Ref. Advanced R/C Boat Modeling by John Finch P. 8: http://www.amazon.com/Advanced-R-C-B.../dp/0911295216
John Finch suggest that a r/c boat need weight trimming to make it fast yet controllable. As his suggestions, too light a boat is an disadvantage. Add weight help solve your problem.

JetChopper30 was designed with mind to give little lift on the stern, transom. Inner strakes are shorter. Spray rail at the transom is half width. Ride pad is narrow width. Do not know the lift right now. Suggest modeler to add weight to make it sufficiently weighted and torque balanced.

    Best regards,

    Leo

    Hello Tony,

Wonderful paint work, can paint such a fine line. Use furniture wax, Johnson Pledge, to coat the boat bottom, can reduce drag.

Busy with offset moulding. Will make RED hull soon. Joint will be invisible.

    Wish you a win.

Went to test with heat race prop; lake was blown out but tested in crazy-rough water. Boat showed great balance & should do extremely well in racewater.

    Hello Herve, Howzit ?

The beauty of this boat at 30" is that it can be rigged for several race classes : P-Ltd Mono & P-Ltd Offshore heat races, or P-Ltd Mono/Offshore, or even full P SAW running. I have mine rigged to run P-Ltd Mono at the NAMBA Nationals this summer. AQ 2030 KV UL-1 motor on 4S makes a nice combo and will make a really nice sport runner rigged like that. It should be a real rocket with a 4S motor of 4074 2200 KV size on 4S with an appropriate speed control. I'll be trying that after the Nat's.

    Herve,

Sounds like a good combo. I'd start with a conservative prop ; no bigger than an X442 & check temps & amp draw. The Hydra 120 may be maxed out with the 3674 so be carefull. Should get you close to 50mph.

    Hi Tony.
Leo has been kind enough to send me a pretty, shiny, red hull for set up & testing in our Aussie waters.
Thanks again Leo. Nice piece of work.
I'm also going to make sure the setup can be changed around easily for a few different classes that we run at our club.
Restricted Mono ... Aquacraft or Proboat 1500kv motor with the original 45A ESC. on 4s.
Club Spec... 3674 Xl 2 pole motor (any kv you like) any ESC on 4s.
EA Mono... Any motor, any ESC, on 4s.
Certainly looks promising in the rough water.
I might need your opinion on a couple of things once I get into it but it will be a nice addition to the 'Wet Track Racing' fleet
    All the best.
    Paul.

    Hello Tony,

Herve is in France. Paul is in Australia. They might not know about the NAMBA race classes. I don't know too.

    Happy rc boating,

    Leo
