Yep, nice looking sv. . . I really like my sv27. I know there are faster and more stable boats to be had. . . but this was my first FE and I've enjoyed all the learning I've done from tinkering and reading and trial and error.
Like siberianhusky said I just replaced a Turnigy 2300 KV motor a few weeks ago wit a UL-1 even though I was careful to prop down on the Turnigy, there is just no comparison between the two motors. . . . ecept that the UL-1 cost me about double the price of the Turnigy which lasted me almost a full season. . . LOL.
I have stock set-ups on the other two boats and the motors do come in considerably hotter than the UL-1 given the same amount of run times. Some have suggested that the HK Turnigy 36/56 1800 KV motors are much more robust and properly sized for that boat but I think I'll just stick with what has been proven even if it costs me a few dollars more.
Enjoy your sv.
