    Default HK Warranty OK

Those who have been following my thread know I had two Turnigy 180 amp ESC's quit working. One fried big time, the other just died after one or two runs with no smoke, heat, or other physical sign of failure.

I sent both back to HK for warranty consideration. They issued an account credit for one ESC only a few days after receiving it, and today they warranty credited the second one.

I have to say I'm very pleased with how they have supported their product.

I accidentally blew my bec i'n my seaking 180 , do you think they'll warranty it? I kno it's based on each individual issue, but it would be nice to have a spare esc..... As i backordered a castle 240 hydra ice for my red Spartan.... Even if i have to pay to get it fixed I'm fine with it.... Thanks Kevin!

I'd give it a try, worth it for the cost of shipping. Go on their site to the customer service FAQ's section and click on the warranty returns.

Fill in the info to get an RMA number and address label.

I think mine cost $9 each for shipping, yours may be cheaper, USPS is usually cheaper than Canada Post.

I had one that got dunked a few years ago and the rubber seal wasn't on correctly. Sent it back and they sent me a new one. It took about 2 months but I'm just glad they warrantied it. I have yet to try their warranty on the lipos cause I haven't had one fail yet.

In their returns and refunds section it says

"The warranty period for Lithium Polymer Batteries is 30 days unless otherwise stated in the product listing."

What if I put connectors on? Will they still warrant an ESC?

How would you know it was faulty if you didn't?

The ESC ships without connectors so putting connectors on is a given.

Not sure on batteries if you change out the connectors, but can't see it being a problem.
