    Default Run time with NIMH

I'm thinking about getting an Impulse 31 and just have 3300mah 7.2V Nimh batteries. I will only use the boat a few times this year then over winter save up to get lipo batteries and good charger. Without using a programing card, how long will run time be with the aforementioned Nimh batteries?

Depending on how you prop it and how you drive it, around 3 minutes. Try not to run the packs down completely, that can overheat NiMH cells.

stock prop, half to full throttle in mild chop.

Half throttle is hard on the ESC, avoid too much of it. I'd still say around 3 minutes, maybe up to 5. The more acceleration and slowing down you do the less the run time. Cell quality matters too....
