Well I was all pumped about installing a new X445 prop and when I tightened the nut the drive dog pins snapped so no running for me.
Is there a replacement pin available or should I buy an entirely new aftermarket flexshaft and drive dog?

Is this a drive dog with a roll pin? If so, just buy a new drive dog with a set screw and use that.
Do I need to notch flat the shaft so that the allen screw in the aftermarket drive dog has something to bite into? Seems it will slide on a round shaft
I'd just buy a new shaft, the stock proboat one won't last long with that prop on it. Btw larry you spelled Neu wrong in your sig.
There's so many shafts on OSE. WHICH one should I get?
What size shaft was it that the pin snapped on? The Hughey shafts use the pins. The Octura shafts use a drive dog with setscrews and YES you should file a flat on the shaft for the drive dog setscrew. I prefer the Octura shafts but have to resort to Huey's when I need .187 long shafts.
