I just bumped into a vendor offering a 1450 "Mod" prop B&S ; looks like it might be a good P-Sport Hydro candidate
46.5 mm ; 2.75 pitch
Anyone have actual experience with one ? LMK
Thanks,
Tony

I have one. I like it a lot. It's been on a JAE21FE and a Rigged Insanity

Both the 1400 and 1600 series can be delifted to match the lift of an X prop. Because of the different distribution of blade area nearer the tips when compared to the X, these props can harness motor power better - if you have the power. I run a cupped 1650 on my Q Sport hydro with good results. I use a Grim 42x66 on my FE-30 P Limited, delifted I prefer it to the m445 as it seems to handle a bit better and is a tad faster.

If hull is not too heavy I keep thinking the ABC 1816-10-50 (3 blade, 45.72mm, 2.880" pitch) would be a good prop using the UL-1 motor/esc in P SPORT HYDRO. Tony, How much does your insane 30" weigh RTR?
I have also been wanting to try the ABC 1816/3 prop in my UL powered Raptor Rigger.

I have a cut down Sholund 1450 I have used in the Spec JAE but the two H7's I have (Sholund and Andy Brown) are a couple mph faster.
I have tried a ABC 1714 in my Spec FE30 (UL1 motor and controller). The boat was a rocket but the motor was pushing 140 after four laps. ABC props will put much more load on the motor than a Octura X and M series with similar numbers.
Us Spec controller guys cant go much bigger than a 42x55 or 442 without

Tony, Thanks for answering and correcting me on the class.

BTW my P-Sport Whiplash fully rigged with Castle 1515 & Hydra LV 240 weighs 5.6 lbs (minus batteries & prop)
Yup, the Whip's are light ! But actually, I've been racing in gasserwater ( last race we followed three heats of those monstrous gas Thunderboats) and with
2 X 4S 4000's the extra weight helps keep it on the water in the slop. In fact Mark F turned me on to a tip : put some weight ( I use @ 8 oz. in the left sponson) to keep the sponson from lifting when my rather agressive race props hit hard.

Had practice at Joe's (Questtek) today and Allen just so happened to showup with a 1450 Mod. Was tuning my P-Sport FE30 for Sunday's race in Camarillo so first I did some laps with a stock S&B H-5; then the 1450. The 1450 (seat of the pants ONLY) ran fine-no *ss hop; a teeny bit slower but me likey ! Will order a few - the "guys" will probably want some too. Thanks for all the input. Oh BTW, I'll give it a try on my Spec FE 30 when time allows.

I just ordered one myself, it ran much better than the 1640 I had on it.
