Saw him at the Palace in Auburn Hills after the eagles broke up. "you belong to the city", "Smuggler's blues", "The one you love", and of course "The HEAT IS ON!!!". Certainly will be missed. : (

Gosh, I miss herbs, I also miss peaches, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=glC9_8Ijt9k

As a retired landscape contractor, I love gardening implements, I have a regular hoe, a planting hoe, a chopping hoe, a hula hoe, a cement mixing hoe, and a weeding hoe, and a couple of hoes that I modified.
I have to admit, I've spent a lot of money on hoes, partially cuz some of my employees would abuse them. I did sell the back hoe, that one was just too high maintenance! Every time I took her out she would
    blow a line, or two.

In 1970 I was Ten years old and I can remember hearing Ride Captain Ride over the Air Force base swimming pool loudspeaker. There are lots of old forgotten songs from that time.

I did not know Prince could play that well...he was really bending the strings on that Telecaster.

George Harrison wrote that song, but I hear Eric Clapton actually played the lead part of that Beatles song "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" in the recording studio.

    UhBoy

Brings back fond memories - In the 70's I was a Hollywood weirdo in the sound reproduction biz. SD was well known in town for the most impeccable engineering and craftsmanship in the studio, as well as (to put it euphemistically) tour guides to the "high life".

    Some dude from that period

    I, Cursed We Are

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5z56OsVGPx8

    Emerged from the shadows
    Reincarnated by the walls
    Into the blackened meadows
    Straight into the darkside falls
    All souls on fire
    Coloured by a bloodred sky
    The flames reaching higher
Feel the glimpse of red tonight

    The curse of men
    Has become our fate
    It brought us here
    To end our days
Countdown for the walls of time
The age of light will pass away

    The storm race against us
    A thousands days of misery
    All fall in twilight
    Burning for eternity
Oh what an age to reign
    Blasting flames in the sky
    Waiting for that moment
    Journey to the other side

    The curse of men
    Has become our fate
    It brought us here
    To end our days
Countdown for the walls of time
The age of light will pass away

    There's no essence,no future
You wouldn't know what I have seen
    There's no essence,no future
    Cursed we are - eternally

    Fly souls of hatred
Spread your wings across the sky
To the end of the earth
Riding at the speed of light
    All end in damage
    Mindless voices call your name
    Devoted to the darkness
Driven by the force that reigns

Cursed we are to die as men
Beneath the gods of ice and sand
    Cursed we are - all
The earth man and sky shall fall

    There's no essence,no future
You wouldn't know what I have seen
    There's no essence,no future
    Cursed we are - eternally
