Default 2 (4s) in parallel, will they fit???

I have a Miss Geico and dont want to modify the battery trays yet. Will two 4s 5000mah batts fit with no modifications to run parallel?

I found it was a tight squeeze to get them in and out because of the side woodwall. Winter projeckt to rip it all out and lower the trays and install another motormount to give more space. Hope to test them today and see if they help with stability.

I am inteseted in how the stability worked out with these and what your run times are? I really want to buy 5000mah 40c for max run time. If your saying the 4000mah barely fit in, then 5000mah may be a nightmare. I may just buy em and see what happens, then modify if i realllllly have to. Also cant wait until my Mystic comes in to play around with Miss Geico, HAHA!!!

i don't know about 5000 4s if they will fit or not i do use 4s 4000 and they can be a real pain to get out if in a hurry, because i used 4s2p i dont have a problem with stability its still very stable and corners very very good

I fit 5000 mah packs in mine 4s2p, I think the 4000's might almost be better though.

Shaughnessy, do you have these batteries velcro strapped down or just velcro on battery and tray? What C rating are they? You said 4000's may be better becauase of handling or fitment? Sorry for all the questions!!

I use two 5000mah in parallel and they fit. Nano techs. But its a squeeze. I broke off one of my battery trays in a flips so I think I´m going to remove the other one also.

Both of mine came loose in this flip(at the end on 5s) I think I will ,as a winter projeckt , rip them out and lower them to make it easy to get the lipos in and out. But I like to have them above the bottom og the hull in case of a leak etc.

Run time, well , I brought it in to have a look at the temps, and the boat was filled with water. No more grease on the flex, so the water came up the flex. I feel like I greas the flex well, and often, but I had to call it last night.so I dunno the runtime.
I just used velcro on the pack's , but I feel like they might need to be straped down to.

I used to just use velcro, now i have pool noodle to hold them in place along with velcro, straps are a good idea. Couple of bad stuffs has split the front of mine because of loose batts. 4000s for fit and a little lighter, the weight doesn't make a HUGE difference but it's definitely noticeable.

Gosh, this hobby is getting expensive, but I love it. Decided on two Nano techs 4500mah 45-90c and some velcro straps from Hobbyking of course, new Kintec flex shaft and offset rudder. To boot, still waiting for my pre-order Mystic to come, but looks like now its late September etc..... which blows. I was planning on running both boats in Meine at my lakehouse in earl Sept. but that aint happening. Whatever, I still love the Geico and still trying to work out the bugs.

Wiring in parallel allows longer run times. In order to do do, a parallel connector needs to be made. Somewhere here on the forums, there is a how to on this with pics.

This is how I charge my battery's. In parallel. NB Always Same brand /cell count and mah. NB

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8L_c-cFpSQ

Also when I want to make my 2x 4s 4000 into one 4s 8000mah, I use the parallel wire. That way it's still a 4s (for the esc) but you get longer run times.

also have a look at this site.

And if you have , let's say , 2x 2s 4000 mah, and want to make that into 1 4s 4000 for you're boat, you make one of this wires.
