Default my first build.. need some help

i have a 24" hammer ep hull that i'm making a Brushless surface drive..I was thinking about laying some fiberglass down in the hull to add strength and a little weight. For the motor i'm still not 100% sure i want something cheap but fast any suggestions ? i was thinking a sv27 motor and esc ... I am still kind of new to this and don't know where to start as far as the stuffing tube and shaft go, like what size, length and all that. Can anyone give me a link to what coupler, shaft and stuffing tube to buy? I want something I can just buy and install. Also, can anyone give suggestions on what hardware to use..rudder assembley, .... I would really appreciate if someone could help me out and show me what to buy... heres some pics of the hull

Hi, since that hull is nto designed for real high speeds i would keep it on the tame side. Maybe shoot for 30-35 mph..............plenty fast for a 24" boat. Since you are re-inforcing it you can go to decent brushless power. I would recommend 3s lipo for that hull.

I usually get my stuff here from Steven, if you want the service and backing of his products at a bit more $ but quicker shipping you can go with similar items i posted here. If you want to go more on the bargain side but still have a fast boat i'll throw this stuff out there:

Motor with water jacket built in: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...unner_Boat.htm

Best bang for the buck in an ESC, cheaper than the 60a: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s..._Boat_ESC.html

A bit of hardware......4mm is fine:

    4mm stinger(not in stock currently) http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...ive_Black.html

    flex(not in) http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...ible_axle.html

    short shaft: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...th_thread.html

    prop: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...e_Cursher.html

You will need a 4mm to 4mm coupler

    Batt: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...Lipo_Pack.html

These are just examples of what you can use.......dont think you will need a 3/16 driveline. Good luck!!
