Default Turnigy Monster ESC 200 amp

I picked up a Turnigy HV Monster ESC 200 amp for a build I am currently on, and the guy I picked it up from said it was bench tested but never used. There are water lines installed, and also it looks like he tried to epoxy the base of the caps. Is this an attempt to waterproof this ESC? Has anyone done this or have used it in a boat?
I've looked around a bit but haven't found much of anything on these ESC's and waterproofing.

If you are referring to the Monster 240a Aquastar, its a swordfish...................or vice versa.

EDIT...............i see you are referring to the "land" 200a ESC, dont know about it.

This is exactly what I have, other than the modifications he made to it.

I'm curious if I should even put it in the boat. He said he has used them in the past on a few of his without any problems, but I just don't know.
