    Default shockwave 26 prop questions

Ok so I got a shockwave 26 broke the stock plastic prop upgraded to a bigger brass one it didn't seen to much bigger and 5secs in the water and the esc caught fire. Stock everything beside prop with a 60c 6000 lipo, was told it was a known problem they replaced electronics
Today I got my replacement parts and went out again it seems to kill batteries pretty fast and it puffed my 60c 6000

    Ok so my question is...
    Is the prop to big?
What prop is the best upgrade?

    Be easy on me lol

if you didn't balance or sharpen it, it will not be good on the electronics. if you did balance and sharpen, a 60C shouldn't puff, that's a pretty big battery.

A prop thats a few mm bigger may not "seem" that much bigger but adds alot more load on the electronics, the stock esc barely handles a stock size prop so anything bigger will usually toast it

I ran an X435 prop on mine and loved it

The x435 prop seems to be what everyone is running, ill probably upgrade the esc to a 120amp hobbyking esc and run my 3s in it later

After greasing the shaft realigning everything its a lot smoother, but its still causing the batteries to heat up bit. all the electronics seem fine I'm running it on my Orion 30c 3800 and its fast I'm gonna order the x435 and make this a recovery boat and build something new

    Like this but bigger

The Shockwave is a good boat to wet your appetite for FE but it doesn't take long until you start wanting more speed!!!
