Max motor KV for 3s set-up?

Hi all decided to set-up my 16''' micro hydro on 3s 11.1v lipo . What is the max kv rating i should consider for the brushless motor? Regards Andris Golts.

I am using the motor with 4800kV on 3S. The propeler is Graupner K30.

3500-4200 should be the sweet spots. The higher KV you go obviously shorter run times and more heat, and may gain 1-5 RPM but more wear and tear and pull higher amps. You would also will have to use smaller props. It's better to KV down a little and run a larger prop which will give you a nice balance overall, but obviously its up to you.
