use heavy leather gloves to protect your hands from sharp propellers.

Yep. If you are using very, very sharp props then a leather glove and a nut driver do the trick. Normally I dont sharpen my props to a level where they can cut upon contact. I do have some. But since I dont race the few mph I lose by not taking them to a razor edge means I can handle them casually without fear of slicing myself. And there is a certain way to hold a prop and not get cut that you will learn over time.

Also the bigger the prop the easier it is to handle without getting the ole fingers right on the sharp edge.

I use small slip joint pliers with two layers of shrink tubing covering the jaws to grasp the prop hub.

I always try to keep a towel with me to dry my boat. So I use it.

Power disconnected, then don the old mechanix brand leather gloves with box wrench and disassemble. I have small slice marks even in the leather gloves, though the blades arent knife sharp, but sharp enough.

When I do props ... I put the band-aids on first. This way I still have the dexterity to handle the props but don't get cut half as much.
