    Default Rio Upgrade

Just purchased a new boat. The Rio ep. I was wondering what motor I could put in that would bolt right up with existing motor? I am going to upgrade my ESC in my MG so i will use that one in my rio for 2s. Looking for 35 mph? Prop?

    Would these work? http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=11875

That motor is small, good for a 9 to 12 inch boat.
Try hobbypartz.com I will be getting this one for my rio when there 120a esc stock is in.
    Motor is a tacon 2848-380 2700kv brushless.

You can use your stock rio cooler or make a new one, Look in tips & Info on how to make a cooler.

I would stick with a 36mm motor in the 2500-2700kv range on 3s. I am running a 2600kv on 3s and it runs well. I would generally recommend against outrunners in a boat as they can't have a water jacket put around them for cooling. In addition the ESC you mentioned does not have a BEC so it will not provide power to your receiver without a UBEC or getting an ESC that does have a BEC built in.
