Depends on the motor. 4074 uses either a leopard jacket or an hrc there listed on ose for what they fit

Pretty much the bigger thevcan the more watts it will put out. A 3674putts out 2200watts max a 4074 puts out26000 max and a 4082 putts out 3500watts max. As far as run time anything around a 1500-1800kv will give you more time than a 2200kv. A 2200 would be good for 4-5s. 5s is pushing it and a 1500-1800 is good for 5-6s I personally run mine on 6s cause I like the high rpms and I get about 6-7mins of run time and temps stay low around 105 and I'm using a m645. The prop size has a lot to do with run time too cause the bigger the prop the more amps it draws

I run my boats for 2-3 minutes and with those runtimes I don't need a water jacket. I do want one however just cause they look nice mostly. As for batteries right now I run a single 4s pack on the right side of the motor.

Perfect all good info. I am thinking maybe going with 180a on stock motor for now and then if I want to go faster I'll change the motor. The stock motor will handle up to 6s 2 3s. Rite or wrong

    Call me crazy but.....

I run 2s+3s (5s total) 5400mah packs and the stock AQ 60 amp esc and stock 1800kv motor with either a grim 38x55 or a 40x53 or 40x52 3 blade.
    .
It runs great and nothing over 105 after 4 min or so. speeds in high 40's low 50's

I just use a castle BEC and disable the esc BEC. The AQ ESC has an input of 20volts. I do have a back up esc just incase but everything seems good so far.

www.lightflightrc.com has an ARC 36-55-1 that will bolt right up and not hit the hatch. It's 2800kv. Run on 4s for stupid speed and 3s for cruising around. You have the best of both worlds. You will need a bigger esc of course, such as a 180amp.
