    thanks chris

Order a TACTIC radio from towerhobbies. 2.4ghz. They work great and require no outside antenna for the receiver.

A lot of people rave about the cheap 2.4's from Hobby King but I have had two and they have both been junk.

Oh yeah! I forgot Steven carries them too! Good catch Jesse! I'd rather deal with Steven than Towerhobbies any day!

Agreed with all listed. I love my Tactics, but my Spektrum dx3s is my pride & joy. I am spektrum fan boy!

The tactics are great priced easy to use and most importantly reliable! A lot of boaters here including myself have a tactic we use for something! I use 2 remotes for all my stuff one is a high price spektrum the other a tactic, both I trust!

Not yet, but a lot of guys use the Traxxas waterproof servos if they need them.

Spektrum does make a terrific, and growing, line of nicely proced digital servos, however, in a variety of sizes.

I'm looking into it right now, but if the DX3C is available for use in the UK, that is a nicely featured TX that isn't too terribly expensive...

My planet was reliable once but after a few weeks the reciver fell apart, bought a new one an that one worked but somedays, mainly windy ones with a chop it would never go more than 30ft away before it stopped. so not to offend any body by saying the tactics look cheap but dont want the same thing to happen.

as for spektrum i have seen loads off these for sale in the uk, same as futaba an teh plant. an may stick with what i have here. The futaba is a bit pricy tried the planet so may get the spektrum an try that.

Understandable. I know that personally I have not had a failure with either the tactic or spektrum with good distance out of both.

    Here is another option
    http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=10608

I use this with all of my fast hulls, yes I have a bunch of spare Rx units across the fleet
I have had no problems at all with the radio, I also have a stick version for my crawler and a 6ch set for my recovery vessel.

Reliable and affordable. Works for me

I like the tacatic radio, but I pretty much mostly use my spektrum radios. The thing to consider on the tactic is you do not have (End Point Adjustment,How far the servo arm will travel from end to end) and a few other nice things to have when trying to set up your boat. Still a good radio for the price though.

OK, I confirmed, the DX3C will be available "world-wide"... This is a great "economical" radio that has some great features, and isn't out of the ball-park, price-wise. 20-Model memory, lots of adjustability (more than even most advanced boaters need), and Marine RX compatible.... And it sells for $129.95...

I agree, I like being able to adjust D/R and the EPA, tx can do a bunch of other stuff but that is all i mess with for the boats.
