    Default Rescue Boat

Ok, what would be an inexpensive rescue boat to get?? What is everyone using or any suggestions or links to order one?? I was finding something like this: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXBRG1&P=SM
but wonder if it even has the ability to push a flipped SV?

    Thank you all!

    Default Rescue...

I have been tinkering with the idea of an inexpensive boat and some sort of a line in tow to entangle a stuck or capsized boat.

The lakes in my area are off limits to rafts and full of critters including gators...It would be interesting to find something or get an idea from others.

This one is STILL my favorite!

I don't think it fits the "inexpensive" criteria though!

    Default Ok!

I have decided to use my old hammer ep in order to tow a line long enough to circle the stranded boat in order to entangle it and bring it in...low tech and inexpensive, but it should work.

The ideas for fancy recovery boats are probably very time consuming and expensive.

thanks for those who gave some imput.

my club usually has either a rescue dinghy or kayak availible , but seriously just about any boat could be used provided that; it is on an unused frequency and has enough 'omph' to reach 10 mph. folks have used zig zags/reef racers. I would imagine a 'vac-u-duck' would work. only problems I've seen w/ the towline method is getting the line caught in the prop of the tow vessel.

Use about 12' of floating flyline and a tennis ball. Tie the line to the boat some place forward of the rudder or you won't be able to turn when you have the load of the stranded boat.

    Good luck,

DirtySouth has already done that with hilarious results...Dirty, can you post a video of that here? Worth another look if you ask me.

Actually no...but that one is really good too. I'm thinking about the one that has the brushless vacuduck on 3s lipos...I found it on another RC forum, but I don't know if it's cool to link to that or not...
if it is not cool, I apologize:

we use this http://home.vicnet.net.au/~spmbc/images/PICT0237.JPG but with a U shape of hard electrical conduit attached the the side of the TUG, the tug drives along side the flipped boat "catches" it in the u and drives staight back to shore.

I'll try and get a pick tommorrow on race day.
