Definitely do not get the 2200mah lipos. You be charging them over an hour and run times will be like 5 minutes. Id get 4 or 5000mah. The 4s 4000mah won't fit in the EKOS unless you modify the battery trays. I have Venom 4s 3200's and they work well. The stock esc's and motors will fail on 4s after time. I'd get started with your boat then do like the guys here recommend, replace the motors with Feigao 9xl's. My EKOS ran about 45 mph on 3s lipos, and now its around 55mph on 4s lipos with the replacement motors.

To add - After a few runs in a row, my 3200 lipos started puffing. The guys here recommended going with bigger MAH. Just look up the dimensions of the batteries so you'll know if they'll fit...

    Hi,

My EKOS has the Fegaio 380-9XL motors, stock ESCs and use the CF-40 props.
Using, Sky LiPo, 4S 30C/60C 4000mAh, L=138.56mm, W=43.21mm, Ht=34.56mm, Wt=429g, the hatch just seals. At rest, the EKOS transom is just below the water, but leaps and quickly planes and she's GPS'd around 55 mph. I think I'm getting about 5-7min of run time.

    I think the 4S 40C/60C 3300mAh Lipo's (Sky) at 383g would be a better size/choice battery.

    Pete
