Default 180 amp seaking esc, turnigy 4.0 lipos (4000 mah) , leopard 1774& 1400 kv motors....

Hey guys just wondering if the turnigy 4000s will be good enough for tht setup .... I'm gonna use the 1774 kv motor first and start with a s215 prop, or I was thinking of getting the x440 , I believe thts wt a couple people on here recommended..... Now I have 2 4000s, (had& still also have venom 6400s but was told they're not great for boats..... I believe tht, so my ultimate question is do I get 2 more of those and do a series, parallel setup? Or maybe just run 2 batteries and i'n the future get 2 5000 turnigys? I already have the cooling mods along with a dual pickup speedmaster rudder , it is alittle longer/bigger than the stock rudder... Got it off of ose..... Thanks guys for any advice.....

The 4000's will work fine, just shorter running time. I saw someone recently got 2 6000ma 6s batteries and a traxxas parallel plug. That way he just ran the 2 6s batteries and was getting 12000ma!!! Less weight than the series parallel setup with the 3s, plus it's cheaper to buy 2 6s batteries than 4 3s batteries. I'm going to try it with my new motor and esc when they come in.

Nice!!! So if I did get 2 more 4 cell turnigys I would be able to do tht i'n series/parallel? And you don't think it'll be too heavy? And the 440/3 prop would be ideal?

I've been told as long as they are the same batteries with the same c rating there should be no issue doing a series parallel. Some say the extra weight might help stability, but there will probably be a sacrifice in top speed.

no problem, the x440 and prather 215 are good prop for the stock motor, if you go to a bigger motor and esc people are running the x445, the x645 and the prather 225

    kinda like over at traxxas
the 47mm is a little big for the 1774kv motor, that prop could work great on the lower 1400kv motor without heat issues
