    hello

one possible design for 2020 5" mount

4 screw on each side is maybe too much

2nd pic is 4082 twin mount for obrien
front part + motor + water jacket
to check if parts are not too close.

    60mm between axis

    thanks peter !!!
it's not so easy to design something without thinking to
    your mount

some of your technical choice are very good !!

Thanks Herve for the kind words .

I have to give credit to Racemechanix ( Tyler Garrard ) he is the principle designer for that mount , I just spiced it up a bit . Like you he is a very talented man .

Here is a dual 1717 I did a while back , Me and Tyler worked on this one also . Feel free to use whatever on this that will help in your design .

    Herve,

    Answer: 2230 length is 4.7"(119.4mm)
I had HRC make a cooling can, that is 89mm, so the 86mm must be an error.

    Thanks,

That is the length of the old style non cooled version of 2230 , the new style air cooled 2230 are about 12mm longer . Here are pictures of both versions Herve....I know what its like making mounts for motors you have never seen

Herve they can remove the setscrews and then put them back once the mount clears the rear section , or you can cut some recesses at the rear like in the picture 90* degree's apart
