    Hey Guys,

Here we go. Time for the first SAW race of the year at Legg Lake in El Monte CA. The Date is April 16th and 17th from first light to dark and after???

Anyone is invited Nitro, Gas and Electric, so bring your fastest boats and set a new Straight-A-Way record! :)

Email Mark Grim with your entries, we would like to have a running order list set up before the event. So let us know which boats you are bringing!

If you would like BBQ lunch, please let us know when you email your entries so Kim can get an idea of how many will be attending and how much lunch to stuff all you guys with! :)

The lunch will be $10.00 a person you will not go home hungry as all you guys know if you have come to the previous SAW and 2 Lap events.

I am debating if I am going to participate yet... but I can tell you this, for those of you that never had Kim's "chow".... it is awesome!!! And like Brian mentioned, nobody goes home hungry... Brian is a pretty hefty guy, if he's not hungry... well, I am just saying...

See ya fellas soon, either racing or just hanging with y'all.

Jan, you are going to be in for a SHOCK... "Big B" isn't so big any more! So if you thought he was a tough competitor before, wait until you see him a LOT lighter on his feet and with a ton more energy! That Evil Grin is even more amplified!!

Have my fleet just about ready for the trip! Have one more boat not pictured that I'm bringing that I might pull out after I've exhausted the my attempts with all of these.

Not sure which I'm looking more forward to... the racing, or the food!!

Hope they have the timing lights set low enough to the water! My little Maus Microbullet is kind of a low profile!

Brian Buaas set new P-OPC records today of 66, then 70, then 71 and changed... with a one-way pass of 74mph... Castle motor, AQ TS-3 hull... Amazing...

Several other records got bumped up today. Won't have a full list until tomorrow. Going to another LONG day of trying to go FAST!!

    Several new FE records today...

N1 Mono is now 36 and change
N2 Mono is now 72 and change
    P-Mono is now 77+
    and P-OPC is now 72+

Tyler made some passes with his new T-Hydro running on 8S... one of 119mph. Needs some more tuning before it'll be there, but I have no doubt he'll get it sorted out.

I'll have to get home to get the exact times... Brian and I are leaving tomorrow to drive home. Been a LONG but really fun weekend.

Well done, Guys You Came, You SAW, You Conquered !

Great to see you Darin, and the new slimmer, trimmer Snowman

Tyler , Mark, Randy and Wilmer looked ready for some gold, but the notorious Legg gremlins were at work, but "Next Time"

Brian's P-OPC tunnel was just unreal; had me & my tunnel relegated to hanging around Kim's bountiful food table

    Congrat's all around

Tyler-72 mph in an N-2 mono? Wow! Sorry you didn't back that up. That's rockin'.

DF 25.5 hulls simply rock. That is, hands down, the best Delta Force hull out there. The geometry just works on that boat.

I think I have video of this somewhere. I'm slowly going through them all and, if I have this one, I'll try to post it tonight.

I didn't catch them all, as it's tough to video and work on boats at the same time, but I did catch a few, mostly on Saturday.

What was even more impressive is the same hull going over 77mph in P-Mono trim... a very "unique" P-Mono setup, but P-Mono none-the-less...

That is a great little boat. I was stuck at 62 MPH for while with the existing power system which Brian still holds the record with. I tried a little different route and it worked. Just too bad the motor leads came unsoldered from the esc and the lakeside repair was not up to snuff to make a return. I have a new another ecs now and the boat is packed up to head out to Flint, MI for the SAW in two weeks.

Brian took his old N2 mono and stuck a P system in there and said "this should go fast" and cranked out a 78 mph pass on the first run. The guy makes it look easy.

I saw (pun?) that pass and was totally floored by how fast and stable that "little critter" went. Nice job !

Oh, and BTW, the 70 mph fast pass recorded for my P OPC , in the spirit of full and truthful disclosure, was a result of a Legg Lake duck (which I have been training for months) tripping the light mid-pass. Actually, after witnessing Brians smokin' P-OPC passes, my tunnel developed a bad case of electro-goofy distress and was relegated to a spot near the food table

Tony, The computer file showed you had a 74 mph pass as well. I thought that one may have been the duck, but oh well.
