    Default Lifepo4 0850 mah 6.6v receiver pack

Any one use the Life packs for rx power? I have had a couple of people ask me to carry them.

I had one that worked great until I left the switch on, it drained all the way down and now won't take a charge. I would buy another one if you stock them.

If they're Hyperions, I would buy some from you.

I've made one from a B&D VPX battery pack, which contains 2 A123 1100mah cells. I think I paid $20 or so, but I can't find more VPX packs around (discontinued)

For the right price I would definitely buy one or two, either 1100mah or 2300mah cells.

I have (5) 700mah 2s Life packs I use for rx packs. I was concerned about them only being 700mah, but after my first run with one, I charged it and it took 42mah, so it doesnt take much. Im sure if you carried them you would have a hard time keeping them in stock once everyone caught on.

I have been using them for over a year now, all my boats have them. These things are great, and pretty good about taking abuse also. Nothing like those 5-15 min. charges either! Hyperion all the way, the Hobbico ones are pretty good also, they make a 200 mAH one that works for the micro boats.

I use them. I also use a cheap chinese BEC as a voltage regulator as I learned the hard way that some servos don't like the higher voltage of the LiFe packs. Mine are hyperions.

Thanks for the imput. My only issue with them is that they require an adapter like below.

More info on the rx packs can be found here.

The balance taps would be enough for Rx power, main leads aren't that useful.

I've been using 2S 1000mah lipo packs with Ubec for a while. I don;t like tapping into an esc and the extra wires everywhere.

I like the LiFe voltage though. In some boats I would not need the Ubec then.

I agree, I don't like the idea of needing an adapter. It's completely uncessary.

Its another wire and connection that could fail, not to mention the extra money for an adapter.

it needs to just charge through the balance tap, then have a standard servo power plug rather than the bullets. that would be ideal.

I use them all my non-bec boats and airplanes. I probably have about ten of them.

I didn't like the extra connector at first but I don't mind it so much any more. I keep the three pin "J" connector plugged into the receiver at all times. The Hyperion connector is very beefy. I rather pull that on and off 50 times at the battery than doing that to the J plug at the reciever or receiver switch.

    Just my opinion.
