The boat looks very nice!! Great job.. I think the SV 27 power system will work great... I would try a X637 as well as the Y535 that Treystoys mentioned... I might just have get on of these, It really looks sweet!

    Cool

Looks great! As for the prop, there are no 1/8" props suitable for the hydro if speed is your goal. Use 3/16" props, and cut a piece of 3/16" brass tubing to sleeve the prop to fit your shaft. Guys get away with x645 props on the SV, the hydro should run faster and cleaner, so can use an even larger prop....as long as you watch the heat. I'd start with an x640 myself. It really depends on how fast and how long you want to run.

I really think you should give lipos a try I measured the voltage from 1 - 3s lipo pack and it measured 12 volts with a digital volt meter and they have some really serious power and light weight, not to mention a longer run time a little spendy but for like some 2200-2500 mah packs you can pick them up for close to the same as some good 3300 mah sub c packs and you will like the power better but your esc better be able to handle the voltage!!! I burned up 3-or 4 and one was a castle creations ouch.

You are right, but right now I just cant afford lipos(I need to stop spending money on new hulls got so many I dont know what to do with them)The Ni-Mh Cells are just to heavy for that hull.

Ihave been reading up on lipos but I just dont understand it.I have read alot of articles on this subject.

They need to make Lipos for Dummies

I was like you with lipos my son got some and showed me and they are not as difficult as they may seem, but your charger needs to be able charge lipos, there are many lipo compatable chargers out there, I am using a dura trax ice, and for balancing I am using a astro blinkey they cost about 26 bucks at the local hobby store here. but as far as charging them goes once you have the right items charging isn't much different than nimh cells, there are all the warnings on the labels and where ever you read but I think most of all that is disclamers for liability of the mfgr, and supplier, I have had no problems charging at all, my batteries do not get hot, I just plug them in and check to make sure I am on the right type of battery and away you go. sell a couple of your hulls, but if you are like me you get emotionally attached after making one.
