can someone answer this for me would the leopard 4082 1500kv get higher top speed than the 1450kv 4082 and what speeds would they make using turnigy 180amp esc using x445 prop on 2x3's 5000mah 40/50c in series 6's

    On a 6s voltage set up,the 1500kv will be 33,300rpm.
The 1450kv will be 32,190rpm.Thats only 1,110rpm difference. It might not even be noticable.I run the 1500kv version and love it.It has great top speed and low temps.

    Cool

The 1500 Kv motor is a 2Y while the 1450 Kv motor is a 4D. The 2Y wind will be slightly more efficient based on the Io and RM values, but the differences are small. As Larry said, you probably would not notice a difference in performance, but I'd get the 1500 Kv motor.

i would use the 4082 with a 445 prop with the 1500kv or the 1450kv motor if running on 6s with a 37'' hull the 4074 is a bit small

Neither of those motors are decent choices for that 37" hull. Maybe a 5682 2Y as its a larger diameter can and has more power then a 4082. The CC/Neu 1717 would work, and better then either the 4074/4082, plus its also only $70! To get your hull rock'n you should look at a 1521 or a 2250. If budget is tight get the 1717.

Did you mean a 1527, which is more on par with a 1717.................a 1717 is more powerful than a 1521. Never heard of a 2250..........

For those who are interessted i did some data logging with the 4082 in a DF33 on 6s & its pretty much on par with a NEU 1521 , in size & power . i dont think it wouuld be big enough for a 37" hull, JMO , well not if your after a good top speed ...

Start with an X445 and check temps.Move up from there if everything is good.
