    FUN!

The only thing I'd say concerning the schedule itself is that there are usually people who might try to run P-Offshore and Q-Offshore with the same boat, and having them grouped together makes that a problem. However, I understand the "Offshore Day" theory, and it's all good.

Looks like I might be able to make a couple of the classes regardless. I put in for the 1st week of June as a vacation week. Still waiting to see if I get it.

Looks like I'll need to order some batteries if you're running 1/10th scale vintage and modern back to back! I'm running in both classes.

    Default Scale

    Hey Jim,
We will not be running them back to back.
This schedule is only the classes each day.
As we hear minor issues like that we will try adjusting
the daily sequence to allow for this like charging time.
    Thanks, Ken

Default Nats Registration Now Open !

"2011 NAMBA FE Nationals" Hosted by: The Wave Blasters of Florida
Sonsored by: Offshore Electrics & Rum Runner Racing / Hobbies

    Hello FE Racers,
    The 2011 NMBA FE Nationals registration is now open ! The link is;

You will find it easy to sign up, just click on the "On-Line Race Entry" tab.
Then click on the "2011 NAMBA FE Nationals" sign up.

You can make your payment immediately via pay-pal thru this site,
or mail in your payment after you have completed the on-line entry information requested.

The early registration fee is $11 and $9 per class until March 15th.
After March 15th it will go to the normal registration fee of $15 and $10 per class.
Our thinking is to encourage as many early sign-ups as possible to start the snowball effect. We do realize plans can change, so to relieve any reservations about committing early, we will make refunds on all cancellations received prior to May 25th.

If there are any classes that you do not see listed that you believe there would be enough to make a class please contact us as we are open to all class ideas.

Contact myself or Terry Cowger Sr. for more info.

    Hi Ken
I haven't signed up for anything yet since I'm still waiting on vacation schedules to post.
As a suggestion you might want to post this over on RC Groups too since there is a racing boats electric forum there with quite a few FE boaters.

    Default Hotel Information

    Hey Racers,
We did secure a very good rate on the nearby Best Western !
It will be $59.00 per night.
You should mention the "FE Nationals Hosted by the Wave Blasters"
    to get this rate.
    Their phone number is 772-878-7600

    They are located at:
7900 S US Highway 1 · Port Saint Lucie, Florida

This hotel is about 5 minutes drive from the pond site.
It is a very nice hotel, all small suites, with a nice pool area.
Not the Ritz-Carlton but very nice.
    Hope this helps,
    Ken

    Default 20 Racers / 120 Boats !!

    20 Racers / 120 Boats !!

Well guys, it looks like we are headed to a very well attended 2011 Nat's.
Although we never know for sure who is coming until they all sign up,
it does appear that we are off to a pretty fast start.

Let's keep those sign-ups coming as this snow-ball grows ever larger.

Looks good for Me Time RC (the production company) to attend and have a
live internet feed for the entire event. If you have never attended a race that
they were a part of you are really missing a great feature. Apart from the live
racing action, they give a candid interviews to each heat winner as well as
various other fun and informative live spots. This really puts our hobby on a
higher platform, or at least feels that way when you are there.

So lets get to that next plateau of 30 racers and 200 boats. That may get those
racers still unsure if they are coming to get off the fence and sign up also.

Thanks to all of you that have signed up early so far,
the Wave Blasters really appreciate your help and commitment.

    Thanks Again,
    Ken

Ken can I say I had my most memorable heat at last years nats or any for that matter and it was a battle between you and me?

LSH you clearly had a faster boat but I was fending you off by the skin of my teeth with ultra risky moves. You stayed poised waiting for me to make a mistake to go in for the kill but I kept my cool until FIFTEEN feet before the finish line and my battery dumped.

My boat coasted across the line as you swooped up from behind to take the win by less than half a boat length. A NASCAR style finish that only the CDs could determine now that's what I call racin.

We had our first "test and tune" day last Sunday the 13th .
It was a very nice day with the exception of some wind, but all in all it was a good day.
New Waveblaster members Don Wallard and Jason Simms came down from the Daytona area and New member Jeff Westbrook came over from the Lakeland area.
Jeff informed us the that other new members from the Tampa, Lakeland area planned to come over but due to illness of ones mother and a bad back of another member they couldn't make it this time but plan to be at our next " test and tune day in April".
Here's a few pictures of the action, as you can see we had a good turnout of our local club members as well.

The conditions couldn't have been better. There was just enough wind to keep it comfortable. It helps that 2 out of 3 of my boats ran good, and the 3rd just needs more water time.

Jeff if your boats are any indication of the caliber of boats we are going to have at the NATS we can look forward to some very completive racing.

    Hey Bill,
You out drove me in that one....I just could not find a safe spot to pass.
Just unlucky on the batteries, otherwise you had it won.
