I have two boats that have 2230 NEU,s and building a third with a Lehner 3080/7 . trust me 730 - 780kv is exactly where you want to be for 10 cells

My Sniper will do close to 70 just on ten cells with a 750 kv . the new castle is perfect in that arena

They're in stock and shipping now. Some people already have them in their hands. :) And thanks brushless55! Little man will have a transmitter in his hands in no time!

I'm warming up the Grim Reaper gas rigger molds. The 2028 on 10S in a gas rigger should be outragous.

If it runs anything like the smaller motors, it will be a beast. I'll let you know when I get one in my hands (should be today or tomorrow).

I'd send you mine Peter but its not here yet. Monday I'm back off to DC for another month and chances are slim it will get in my hands by Friday. I'll keep my fingers crossed. I got one of your 5692 mounts coming and was toying with modding it for the 2028. Sound possible or am I ruining a work of art?

John did you want to trade in your 5692 mount for whatever new 2028 mount I come up with and yes it would be awesome if you did send the motor , If not I am sure I will get a hold of one without a problem

Dont want a trade for a newer mount Peter. I have several 5692 motors and if I dont mod the one mount coming its a template if nothing else. You already did the hard part right? But the 2028 is going to be my 1/8th scale build for 2011 most likely. If you saw my work bench with the pile of CC motors you would think I'm nuts. Its all about choices right? Keep an eye out for a PM on Friday or Saturday asking for an address if UPS delivers something. Probably not my luck though!

Very cool might put one of these in my Rio instead of my 1717 motors. Would I be able to use the stock Rio prop ?

A 70mm prop I would say would push that motor a little to hard for its liking , I would start with a 55 - 57mm then work my way up .

Dans a good guy. He's been helping guys with low budget, high power setups for years. Far from a joke in my opinion.

Castle specs say 30k rpm's max for the 2028............10s = 32760 @ 4.2v per cell. I guess 10s with voltage dip and load would be high 20's.................

I'll be trying one on 8s first, then 10s when it warms up a bit in a 43" mono, and a 40" hydro. I'll be running Hydra ICE 160's in both so I can datalog and check amps, volts, watts, etc. We'll DEFINITELY need a cooling jacket for this one!

    it should sing on 10s
