all i can say is with all the comments on " i'm gona try i t" where are the rest of the video's. i want to see some of the burnt up esc's too. everyone said that the amp draw should be lower but my first thinking was that it would be harder to move snow than water (trust me, i know absolutly nothing about snow other than i am glad i dont have to deal with it).
i say this on IW and was amazed....

I can imagine all the prop damage now! Little stocks, rocks, etc. just below the surface of the snow.

Sure glad we don't have the conditions necessary to try it down here in Florida! Haha. It is pretty amazing though!

Compared to water, "powder-snow" is less solid.
    Contains much more air.

That is awesome! Too bad there is rarely enough snow here to actually stick to even attempt this...but I do always have open water available....

I welded up a rudder to use in the snow but we dont have much here now. I am by no means wishing for snow (summer cant come back soon enough) but when it comes I will be ready for it.

most guys on here seem to think Powder is the best type of snow to try this in.... but whats there for the prop to grab onto? the snow must have some weight....

This is exactly why ducks fly south in the winter!

I wonder how the esc likes this.....

Must be way more strain on the esc going in and out of a turn... and when it doesn't grip the snow.

But looks like fun! I don't have the guts to try it though

I have been waiting for the videos also. Ever since I have seen this, we have not gotten the snow needed to run. Still not anything forcasted for at least a week, in fact it is supposed to hit 50 next week. I am still going to try this once we have some snow, I just have to!

Cool! If you can, post info on what prop you are using and is it the same or different? Can't believe it is going to be another 2 weeks before I can really look at trying this. It has been super cold here, just no snow!

I just tried a mini V, and a tornado hydro in my yard, they didn't work. I gave a little push, and they went about 8 feet and then stopped. Prop placement, and snow conditions must play a huge factor in this. Wonder what the optimal conditions would be?

I just looked at my mini V, I don't understand how the prop is attached, doesn't seem like it is screwd on (I tried) not sure how I would get a 40mm prop on it, unless I change the whole drive line.

Is your mini v stock? I tried my apache (stock brushed motor) and big prop and it didn't really work. I think the two must haves are brushless power and a big prop.

So if you break a speed record running in snow, does it count?

I ran my smiths cat today with twin x442's. I was surprised how fast it was! My only problem is the area I was running in was narrow with plenty of objects to hit, so turns were almost impossible. Also when the boat is travelling away from you, you cant see it at all. Just a bunch of powder mist. Im going to put x447's on it and try a larger open area. Might even get some video!
