I bet the amp draw is less as well. I noticed the rudder was wide and shallow.

Iwas thinkin the same about the amps. I wonder what hulls will work for this and what wont? I guess it has to be powder snow verses wet. It is wild though to say the least.

great vid... now I know what to do with all the white stuff around here - avoid the yellow stuff.

question: how were temps? probably low due to low draw

observation: this solves the rescue craft vs. swimming for it dilemma!

Dana, you are really missing out! not to make it worse, but it is REALLY cool and I am really glad I was able to watch it, in fact I will now go back and watch it again for you. It is about the most unique video I have seen, very creative and definitely thinking outside the pond! I am really sorry you can't watch it, but that's what you get for having a mac.... and as long as you have a mac, there is no help.

First I see this video and now they're calling for a snow storm here this weekend and my cat is just sitting here. Talk about temptation.

I think a golf course after a fresh snow would be awesome.

Too bad we don't get enough snow here.

    Wow! Thats simply cool!!

The good thing about running in the snow is that you can run to it and flip it over if wrecked. No need for a rescue rig...

    Hello Guys,

just wanted to tell you that this is acutally my HPR06 in the video driving on snow. I had the idea after some "Glühwein" (hot spiced wine) at the last meeting of the PBS Passau members and today I tried it the first time.

As some people had problems watching the video, the link in the first post of Gerwin is deactivated, now the video is available at our Youtube Account:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vuNt0PUahTY

(maybe Gerwin could edit his first post, that anybody will see the change immediately!)

So thanks that you like if, I have already some ideas to improve the performance. This was just the beginning......

For any questions, I'll try to answer them.

    Best regards,
    Manuel

Sounds like we need to give this a try!

Hopefully it will work for single drive too?

That's what I'm wondering, do you just need to cut the rudder shorter?

Probably would work great with outrunners. No water jackets here!

    Default Awesome!!!!

How lame, he needed to push it to get it moving.....

OK, this is soooooooo cool! I am trying this. I am just trying to figure out the pickup for the snow cooling.....

OK, lets see. I have a 24" shallow mono that might be perfect for this. I wonder how the 1/10 cracker boxes would work? think I will also try the three point hydro. Would I need a larger turn fin?

I am serious, this could have serious implications for rc boats! This is so awesome.

No longer flat running. Smooth virgin field for the hydros, you can make hills and ramps for the vees, tons of possibilities. And I just got my high speed video camera! Oh yeah!

OK, have to hand it to the Germans on this one, brilliant!

I'd think it's not going to happen with a mono. Twin cat, and BIG props. Super short rudder.
