When you hear from Jeff, just ask him if he could send you a peice of 3/32 (if he has some in stock) with the .078 wire.

2mm is basically 078... Just a hair larger than 078. No difference if you use a Octura coupler for 078 or one of my set screw versions.

My Ace hardware carries it. You want Piano wire.

So then I shouldn't get the stuff from McMastercarr? My LHS told me they have piano wire, so I might as well get that.

There will be a slight bend in the shaft, what would you recommend?

The stuff from Jeff Wohlt. He can get you perfectly straight pieces that won't vibrate like the bent stuff from your LHS.

Well. I guess they have straight stuff. Try to find the straightest piece they have, small bends really do make a difference.

And a slight bend in the wire is better than a perfectly straight piece.

Haha! I sure hope they do.

And that's good news, cause there will be a bend :)

Bends are find as long as it is not tight.

I say ace or your LHS because for one piece it is cheaper. I roll them on the counter of floor to see if they are straight.

Yes, I have a secret place to get this stuff.

    Alright, cool.

To get to my LHS, I have to take a toll bridge, so it comes out to $11 back and forth to get a piece of wire. That's why I'd rather order it online and wait for it

You wouldn't be able to send me some wire from that secret place, Jeff? Haha.

I need 2 wires, but I'll take 4 just for safety. Around 12" long. Lemme know what you can do :)
